Google Translate is set to receive a major UI overhaul in version 9.10.70, adding new AI-powered features driven by Gemini. The redesigned interface includes a new Practice button, a refreshed translation results page with multiple suggestions and a bottom sheet with tools like Alternative translations, Definitions, Regional variants and Ask a question. While these changes enhance functionality, they may come at the cost of the app’s long-valued simplicity. As with all AI features, there’s concern about potential inaccuracies and user trust.
