HONOR claimed its Magic V5 was the world’s thinnest foldable at 8.8mm, just edging out Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 at 8.9mm. However, side-by-side comparisons show the Galaxy may actually be thinner. Leaker Ice Universe demonstrated this with a flat card and ping-pong ball test, revealing the Z Fold 7 sits lower. It turns out HONOR excluded protective layers and camera bump from its measurement, casting doubt on its claim. In reality, Samsung’s Z Fold 7 may hold the true title of thinnest foldable.
