iPhone Fold’s crease-free screen to be made by Samsung

Apple’s first foldable iPhone, expected in late 2026, will use a crease-free display entirely designed by Samsung Display — a rare move for Apple, done to ensure stable mass production. Key component supplier Fine M-Tec will provide over 80% of the internal hinges, crucial for maintaining a smooth fold. These hinges, paired with advanced laser-drilled microstructures, help prevent screen creasing. Production of the display plates starts in early 2026, with shipments projected at 13–15 million units to cover both production needs and repair stock.
