Apple and Samsung once again dominated Q2 2025 smartphone sales, according to Counterpoint Research. The iPhone 16, 16 Pro Max and 16 Pro took the top three spots, while the 16 Plus didn’t make the top ten at all. Samsung’s Galaxy A16 5G and A06 4G beat Apple’s budget iPhone 16e, likely due to their much lower prices ($200 and ~$110 vs. $599). The Galaxy A16 4G and Galaxy S25 Ultra also ranked in the top ten. Xiaomi broke the Apple/Samsung streak with the Redmi 14C 4G in ninth place, driven by strong sales in emerging markets.
