Can you bend it – iPhone Air seems to be indestructible

The new iPhone Air is just 5.7 mm thin, yet proves nearly unbreakable despite users trying to bend, smash and stress-test it. In scientific tests, it withstood over 60 kgf of pressure with minimal flex and returned to shape — a major improvement over the iPhone 6 Plus “Bendgate.” Apple even demonstrated it surviving 58 kg of direct pressure without damage. Reviewers call it one of the most durable ultra-thin phones, putting pressure on Android makers, though Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge also held up well in durability tests.
