Xiaomi’s new 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max come with rear displays that can double as mini gaming screens. With an optional Bluetooth case (¥299 / ~$42) featuring a D-pad and buttons, the phones can mimic a Game Boy for retro gaming. However, the small 2.66–2.86-inch panels and rear camera cutouts limit playability.
Beyond gaming, the rear screens support notifications, watch faces, music playback, transit updates, and selfie previews. The Xiaomi 17 Pro starts at ¥4,999 (~$701) in China, with no word yet on global release.
