According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will release iOS 26.1 on Monday, followed by the first iOS 26.2 beta as soon as Tuesday. The 26.1 update adds a new ‘Tinted’ Liquid Glass toggle for better readability but is otherwise minor. The upcoming iOS 26.2 beta is not expected to include major new features initially, though additions like US passport support in Apple Wallet or RCS end-to-end encryption could appear later. The final public release is expected in December.
