Fairphone has entered the US market

Fairphone is officially entering the US market, starting not with a phone but with its Fairbuds XL repairable headphones, sold via Amazon. CEO Raymond van Eck confirmed that a Fairphone smartphone – likely the upcoming Fairphone 6 – will follow later, though no release date is set. The move comes amid growing right-to-repair legislation across US states. Until now, Fairphones were only available through Murena with a deGoogled /e/OS, but the official launch will bring Google-integrated Fairphones directly to US consumers.
