Samsung has announced a major SmartThings update designed to bring “peace to mixed OS households” by improving compatibility between Galaxy and Apple devices.
The update adds Siri Shortcuts integration, allowing users to trigger SmartThings routines with Siri voice commands — for example, controlling lights, locks or thermostats with phrases like “Good morning” or “Goodnight.”
It also brings full Apple Watch support, letting users view and control device groups and run routines directly from their wrist.
Additionally, iOS Live Activities now show up to five recently used smart devices — such as air purifiers, AC units and robot vacuums — making cross-platform smart home control easier than ever.
