Chinese brands are preparing smartphones with massive batteries, far beyond today’s norms. According to leaker Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is developing a 10,000mAh phone with 100W charging that fully charges in about an hour. realme or OnePlus may also launch a device with a ~10,000mAh single-cell battery, while another manufacturer is reportedly testing 12,000mAh and even 15,000mAh prototypes.
Evidence also points to HONOR working on two ~10,000mAh models powered by Dimensity 8500 and Snapdragon 7 chips. However, single-cell batteries over the legal limit likely won’t launch in Europe or the US.
Most of these phones seem aimed at the mid-range, though even 2026 flagships like the Find X9 Pro, OnePlus 15 and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max are expected to exceed 7,000mAh.
