Chinese startup Xteink has unveiled the X4, a tiny 4.3-inch E Ink e-reader that magnetically snaps onto phones via Qi2 or MagSafe. Priced at $69, it’s cheaper and more pocketable than a Kindle, offering up to 14 days of battery life, but comes with clear compromises: a lower-resolution screen, no built-in light, no touchscreen and support only for sideloaded, DRM-free EPUB and TXT files.
