Apple’s Lockdown Mode reportedly prevented the FBI from accessing a Washington Post reporter’s iPhone after a home raid. According to court records cited by 404 Media, the FBI seized multiple devices from reporter Hannah Natanson during a leak investigation, but was unable to extract data from her iPhone due to Lockdown Mode. The feature, designed to protect against sophisticated cyberattacks, significantly limits system functions to reduce the risk of spyware and forensic access.
