Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 is set to launch soon, with leaks revealing upgraded health tracking, a marathon-focused training mode and a new campaign featuring marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge.
The smartwatch is expected to feature an AMOLED display, a slim partially titanium case and a new breathable AirDry strap for improved comfort during long runs. It will also include ECG measurements, heart rate variability tracking, dual GPS for accurate route tracking and up to 32 hours of GPS battery life (or up to 14 days typical use).
A new Intelligent Marathon Mode will act as a virtual coach before, during and after races, making the watch especially appealing for dedicated runners. Pricing and availability have not yet been confirmed, but the device builds on the strengths of its predecessor and aims to strengthen Huawei’s position in running-focused wearables.
