Samsung´s S Pen survives also in the future

Nearly five years after ending the Galaxy Note line, Samsung says the S Pen is here to stay in its Galaxy S series. According to Mobile Experience COO Won-Joon Choi, the company has no plans to abandon the stylus and is actively developing new technology to keep it relevant.

Samsung is reportedly working on an improved display structure that reduces the drawbacks of supporting the S Pen – potentially by removing the need for a separate digitizer layer. This approach was previously used in the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which sacrificed S Pen support for a thinner design, but the feature is expected to return in future foldables and could also come to Galaxy S Ultra models if the technology proves viable.
