Samsung Wallet now supports digital US passports, bringing it in line with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. The feature, launched through a partnership with Clear, allows users to store their passport digitally for identity verification at select US airports during domestic travel.
However, the digital passport cannot fully replace a physical passport book, especially for international travel. Samsung recommends travelers still carry a physical ID, even though the feature can make airport check-ins and TSA verification more convenient by keeping boarding passes and identification in one place on a smartphone.
