Spotify is expanding beyond music and podcasts by adding narrated versions of long-form magazine articles from major publications. The new “Articles” feature launches with over 650 curated stories from outlets like WIRED, The Atlantic, Vogue and Rolling Stone, produced by Spotify’s Audiobooks team in English.
Premium users get limited access, while individual articles can also be purchased for $1.99 each. Spotify says the feature is designed to bring more audio content into its ecosystem and improve discovery through personalization tools.
