A new rumor suggests the iPhone 18 will feature 12GB of RAM, up from the 8GB found in the iPhone 17. The extra memory is expected to support advanced on-device Siri AI features, including more expressive voices and improved system-wide dictation, which will not be available on the iPhone 17 due to hardware limits.
Apple is also reportedly absorbing rising RAM costs, meaning the iPhone 18 could launch at the same $799 price as its predecessor. The standard iPhone 18 lineup is expected in spring 2027, alongside other models, while Pro versions may arrive earlier in the usual fall release window.
