Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy Ring 2 is in development, marking the first public acknowledgment of a successor to its original smart ring. While Samsung has not revealed any launch date or new features, the company says software and services will be the key factors that set its wearable apart from competitors.
Samsung’s Digital Health chief, Hon Pak, emphasized the company’s focus on building a connected ecosystem of devices rather than a single all-in-one product. He also hinted at upcoming announcements regarding compatibility, fueling speculation that the Galaxy Ring 2 could finally support iPhones in addition to Android devices.
