Google has released Android Auto 18.0 beta, revealing early signs of a major interface redesign codenamed “Cielo,” which could eventually replace the current Coolwalk layout. The update also hints at Gemini personalization features that may allow access to information from Gmail and Google Calendar, as well as new controls for managing work notifications through Android Work Profiles.
Other changes include Google Sans Flex, a variable font designed to improve readability across different car displays, and the removal of more than 200 outdated resources. None of the new features has been officially confirmed for public release yet.
