Apple has revealed repair prices for its upcoming foldable iPhone Duo and fixing its inner display without AppleCare+ will cost $999. Other damage could cost as much as $1,499, while replacing the outer display costs $379.
By comparison, repairing the inner screen of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 costs $419 — less than half Apple’s price. Apple’s other repair fees include $229 for battery service and $199 for the rear glass.
AppleCare+ significantly reduces the cost, bringing inner-screen repairs down to $99. The coverage costs $19.99 per month, $199.99 annually or $399 upfront, making it worth considering for a device priced at $1,999.
