Microsoft is rolling out new power controls in the Link to Windows app, allowing Android users to remotely lock, put their PC to sleep, shut it down or restart it directly from their phone.
The features are appearing in beta version 1.26101.103.0. The app also lets users install pending updates before shutting down or restarting their computer.
Warning messages alert users about potentially lost unsaved work, while the sleep option reminds them that they must be physically near the PC to wake it up. The update adds useful functionality for people who regularly use Link to Windows to connect their phone and computer.
