Sony cancels Android 17 for Xperia 10 VI

Sony has canceled the promised Android 17 update for the Xperia 10 VI, citing storage-related limitations that prevent it from delivering an acceptable user experience. The company apologized for reversing its original commitment but confirmed that security updates will continue for four years from the phone’s launch. Other Xperia models scheduled to receive Android 17 will not be affected.
