AI makes it possible to chat with historical figures

Hello History is a new app for Apple iPhone and Google Android that lets you chat with historical figures. The list of characters you can chat ranges from pop culture icons to artists, politicians, and civil rights activists.

Hello History uses artificial intelligence similar to, for example, ChatGPT. To start a conversation, you have to select a person from the list. Then that person gives a short message. You can reply to this message with a question, and with the help of AI, the person will answer you.

You can have your conversation with a historical figure as long as you like, as long as it stays on topic. For example, when talking to George Washington, you won’t get an answer about his relationship with John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. But, for example, questions about Adams and Jefferson can be answered separately.

The list of historical figures available in Hello History is quite extensive, covering more than 400 people. The list includes such pop culture icons as David Bowie and Elvis Presley, artist Da Vinci, politician George Washington and civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr.

The app offers students an interesting way to learn about the lives of many historical figures.
