Apple held talks to launch Apple TV+ in China

Apple is in talks with China Mobile to launch Apple TV+ in China, making it the first US streaming service available there. Chinese law typically prevents direct distribution of US content, so the deal would involve China Mobile offering Apple TV+ for a monthly fee, featured on its set-top boxes, with both companies sharing the revenue. The current status of negotiations is unclear. If successful, Apple TV+ would likely be offered at a lower price in China due to market conditions and most content being English-centric. Apple is also exploring launching other services like Apple Arcade in China.
