The upcoming AirTag 2 will feature a major upgrade to Precision Finding, allowing tracking from up to 3x the distance of the current model, thanks to a new ultrawide band chip shared with the iPhone 15. This means users could locate items from 30-90 meters away, compared to the current 10-30 meters. The improved range will enhance the ability to find lost items more accurately.
