Samsung is reportedly working on a feature called “Pointer Mode” for Galaxy smartwatches, allowing users to control their TVs through gestures like wrist and finger movements. Found in the SmartThings app on Wear OS, the feature might include actions like shaking your hand to activate the mode, pinching to select channels and making a fist to navigate. Unlike the upcoming touchpad-based TV control in the SmartThings phone app, Pointer Mode relies solely on gestures, offering a hands-free experience reminiscent of Vision Pro and Apple Watch controls.
