Apple’s rumored slim iPhone, possibly named iPhone 17 Air, may debut this fall as a “testing ground for future technologies,” according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Expected to be 2mm thinner than current models, it could measure between 5.5mm and 6.25mm thick—close to the thinnest iPhone ever.
The 17 Air might feature a 6.6-inch ProMotion OLED display, a single 48MP rear camera, a 24MP selfie camera and the A19 chip with 8GB of RAM for AI-powered features. It could also serve as an early platform for Apple’s in-house cell modem and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chips, paving the way for foldable devices.
