Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip lineup has popularized flip phones, but competitors like Xiaomi are raising the bar. Xiaomi’s upcoming MIX Flip 2, according to leaks, could feature a 6.84-inch LTPO foldable display with 1.5K resolution, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, wireless charging and an IPX8 water resistance rating. It may also include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC and improved cameras with dual 50MP sensors, replacing the telephoto lens with an ultrawide option.
The MIX Flip 2 is rumored to have a significantly larger battery (5,600–5,700mAh) compared to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 6 (4,000mAh) and be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Expected to launch around July 2025, it promises notable upgrades over the original MIX Flip, contrasting Samsung’s incremental updates.
