Google has released Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2, introducing a new desktop mode called “connected displays” for Pixel 8 and 9, offering a PC-like experience when connected to an external screen. The update also adds desktop windowing for tablets, allowing resizable multi-app use across screens. Other features include custom keyboard shortcuts, taskbar overflow and the new Material 3 Expressive design. This comes alongside the stable release of Android 16.
