Google is reportedly preparing a new screenless fitness band, the Fitbit Air, priced at around $99 – making it a cheaper alternative to WHOOP subscriptions.
Even with an expected ~$79/year Fitbit Premium (possibly rebranded as Google Health), total annual cost would be about $179, still under WHOOP’s $199 entry price.
The Fitbit Air is rumored to launch in Obsidian, Lavender and Berry, with multiple interchangeable band options. A release is expected around May 16, just ahead of Google I/O.
