Luxury phone maker Vertu has unveiled the AlphaFold, its first book-style foldable smartphone aimed at executives and premium users. The device features a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, dual 120Hz LTPO OLED displays, a 6,500mAh battery and titanium-carbon fiber hinge technology rated for 650,000 folds.
Vertu is heavily promoting its AI-powered “Hermes” assistant, which can manage calendars, messages, travel, productivity apps and even enterprise workflows through Android 15-based software. The phone also includes access to Vertu’s luxury concierge service for booking private jets and VIP experiences.
The AlphaFold starts at $6,880 for the calfskin model, rises to $8,800 for alligator leather, and reaches an extravagant $46,800 for a diamond-studded Himalaya Gold edition.
