Google is rolling out Gemini’s new Avatar feature to paid subscribers, allowing users to create a highly realistic digital version of themselves using Google’s Omni AI model. After a quick setup process that records your face and voice, the avatar can generate videos featuring your likeness and speech without requiring new recordings.
The feature is accessed through the Gemini app and can be used directly in chats. To prevent misuse, Google limits avatar creation to users aged 18 and older, requires the account owner to be present during setup, and embeds every AI-generated video with its invisible SynthID watermark for verification.
