iPhone users in the EU will have to wait longer for Siri AI

Apple has confirmed that the new Siri AI features in iOS 27 will not launch in the European Union at the same time as in other regions, citing restrictions under the EU’s Digital Markets Act.

The delay affects iPhone and iPad users, while Siri AI will still roll out in the EU on Mac, Apple Vision Pro and Apple Watch, which are not subject to the same regulations. Impacted features include the new Siri experience, writing tools and camera-based Siri mode.

Apple says it has no clear timeline for when Siri AI will arrive on iOS and iPadOS in the EU, as discussions with regulators over data access and third-party AI requirements remain unresolved.
