Snap launches Specs AR glasses for cool  $2,195

Snap has unveiled its first consumer-focused AR glasses, called Specs, at Augmented World Expo 2026. Unlike the company’s earlier camera-equipped Spectacles, the new Specs feature transparent augmented reality displays, a sleeker design and support for immersive Snapchat Lenses.

Powered by dual Snapdragon processors, the glasses offer hand tracking, low-latency AR experiences and up to four hours of battery life, with the charging case extending total usage to 20 hours. Snap has also included privacy features such as recording indicators and on-device data processing.

The Snap Specs are priced at $2,195 and are available for pre-order now with a $200 refundable deposit. Shipments are expected to begin this fall in the US, UK and France.
