Google has officially begun rolling out Wear OS 7 to eligible Pixel Watch models, including the Pixel Watch 2 and newer devices. The update introduces Live Updates for real-time notifications, a new audio switcher for managing music across connected devices and battery optimizations that can improve endurance by up to 10% compared to Wear OS 6.
More features are planned for later this year, including Gemini Intelligence, which will bring advanced AI capabilities to select Wear OS devices. Upcoming additions also include AI-powered widget creation, Google’s new Neural Expressive design language and Personal Intelligence features that can access information from services like Gmail and Docs. Google has yet to clarify which existing smartwatches will support the full Gemini experience.
