A new leak suggests Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will feature a redesigned hinge that significantly reduces display crease visibility. According to tipster Ice Universe, the crease performance will be comparable to OPPO’s Find N6 and noticeably better than the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The new hinge is also expected to make opening and closing the device feel more deliberate, though it may affect the phone’s ability to stay partially open at different angles, potentially impacting Samsung’s Flex Mode feature.
If the claims prove accurate, Samsung could eliminate one of the key advantages competitors like OPPO have held in the foldable smartphone market. Samsung has not yet officially confirmed these details.
