Microsoft is testing a new Link to Windows feature that could allow Android users to remotely shut down, restart or put their Windows 11 PC to sleep directly from their phone.
The feature would expand the existing ability to lock a PC remotely. Users would receive warnings about losing unsaved work when shutting down or restarting, while putting the PC to sleep would disconnect the phone from Phone Link.
The feature was discovered in the Link to Windows app’s code, but it is not currently active and there is no guarantee Microsoft will officially release it.
