Xiaomi has unveiled its first wide-style foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi 18 Fold, just two days ahead of Apple’s expected iPhone Ultra announcement. The device uses a horizontal foldable design and is also available in a striking cherry red color.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold features a 7.58-inch 120Hz inner display and a 5.38-inch cover screen, both offering up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by Xiaomi’s self-developed Xring O3 chipset, with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The rear camera setup includes a 200MP main sensor, 50MP periscope telephoto and 50MP ultrawide camera.
A 6,000mAh battery supports 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. The phone runs HyperOS 4 based on Android 17 and weighs 219 grams.
Prices in China start at around $1,638 and go up to $2,383 for the ceramic special edition. Xiaomi has confirmed that the 18 Fold will remain exclusive to China.
