Anthropic has introduced Claude Duet, an always-on AI assistant that can manage tasks across connected apps, monitor emails and calendars, and continue working in the cloud even when the app is closed. It can prepare daily briefings, draft replies, conduct research and create files such as presentations and financial models.
Powered by Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Duet requires user approval before sending messages, making payments or deleting files. It is rolling out as a research preview to Pro and Max subscribers in the US via a waitlist, with no additional fee but usage counting toward existing plan limits.
