Galaxy S27 series could see significant price increases

A new rumor from South Korea suggests that Samsung’s Galaxy S27 series could be noticeably more expensive than the Galaxy S26 lineup. The base model is reportedly set for an increase of at least KRW 130,000 (around $95), while higher storage configurations could see even larger price jumps.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra could reportedly start at around $1,399, compared with $1,299 for the S26 Ultra, while the 512GB version could cost $1,549 or more. The 1TB model could approach the $2,000 mark.

The reported increases are attributed to the ongoing chip shortage driven by AI demand. Samsung is also expected to use more expensive LPDDR6 RAM in at least the highest-end Galaxy S27 Ultra model. However, the pricing information remains unconfirmed and currently applies specifically to South Korea.
