A new hands-on video suggests that the crease area of Apple’s foldable iPhone Duo display feels noticeably softer than the rest of the screen. This may be because the display is thinner around the hinge to make the crease less visible, although the potential impact on durability remains unclear.
The discovery comes as Apple charges $999 for an inner display replacement without AppleCare+, significantly more than the reported $419 repair cost for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8.
