Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy XCover phone could feature a built-in RFID reader for scanning and tracking inventory in warehouses, retail stores and logistics operations.
A Geekbench listing points to Qualcomm’s Dragonwing Q-6690 processor, which also supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and UWB. Samsung has also trademarked the name “Galaxy XCover Scan,” though the phone’s specifications and RFID functionality remain unconfirmed.
