Google is introducing a new Favorites widget for the Google Home app, allowing users to display and control smart home devices directly from their homescreen. The widget can match the Favorites tab in the app or be customized. It offers instant controls for lights, device pages for other gadgets, and displays information like temperatures and lock states. Configurable in size, it supports Dynamic Color theming and includes a refresh button.
Additionally, Google Home for Wear OS is getting a Favorites Tile and complication. The Tile shows up to five devices with quick access, while the complication allows fast access to a single device. These updates are rolling out with Google Home 3.18 for Android and the Wear OS app starting today.
