Google is upgrading Google Translate with Gemini-powered translations to better handle idioms, slang and nuanced phrases. The update is rolling out in the US and India across Search and the Translate app, supporting English and nearly 20 languages. Google is also introducing a beta live translation feature with natural-sounding audio via headphones on Android, plus improved language learning tools with personalized feedback and progress tracking, expanding to more countries.
