Google is making several Gemini 3–powered AI features free in Gmail, removing the need for an AI subscription. These include AI Overviews, AI Inbox summaries, Smart/Suggested Replies and Help Me Write, which can generate and refine emails based on prompts. The tools help filter clutter, summarize long threads, and suggest context-aware replies that match your writing style. The rollout starts in the US in English, with more regions and languages coming soon.
