Apple is reportedly exploring a smaller, clamshell-style foldable iPhone, similar to the Galaxy Z Flip, according to Mark Gurman. While still in early consideration with no release timeline, the idea has resurfaced after earlier prototypes were tested in 2024.
Apple’s first foldable iPhone, expected later this year, will be a tablet-style model with a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch inner screen. If successful, Apple may expand the lineup with additional foldable designs, including clamshell phones and even larger book-style foldables.
