Apple´s update improves AirTag 2 anti-stalking features

Apple has released a new firmware update for AirTag, marking the first update since AirTag 2 launched earlier this year.

The update focuses on improving anti-stalking features by modifying the alert sound played when an unknown AirTag is detected. While details are limited, the change is expected to make the sound easier to notice – potentially louder or clearer.

This builds on existing safety measures like iPhone alerts and audible tracking, and likely applies only to AirTag 2, which already features a speaker up to 50% louder than the original.
