Xiaomi reports that RAM and storage prices have surged due to AI-driven demand, with costs for a 12GB + 512GB package rising about $217 year-over-year – nearly four times higher than before, now around $288.
Despite this spike, Xiaomi is only slightly increasing prices, adding about $29 to the Redmi K90 Pro Max while absorbing most of the cost. The company is also canceling some promotions and further price hikes globally may follow if component prices continue to rise.
