Tesla has launched its Robotaxi app for Android, expanding access after its iOS debut last September. The app, now available on the Google Play Store, allows users to book rides, control in-car settings like climate and music, track trips and pay via Google Pay.
The Robotaxi service is currently limited to the U.S., operating in cities like Austin, Dallas, and Houston, with limited coverage areas. While some vehicles in Austin run fully driverless, others still include human safety monitors. In California’s Bay Area, Tesla vehicles operate with supervised driving due to regulatory restrictions.
