Samsung’s next Galaxy Watch lineup may be starting to take shape ahead of its expected summer launch. New codenames spotted in a Google Wear OS app update strongly hint at the arrival of the Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch 9 Classic and possibly a Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
The leaked names — “Fresh 9,” “Wise 9,” and “Project V2” — appear to follow Samsung’s previous naming patterns used for the Galaxy Watch 8 series and Watch Ultra. The discovery also suggests that Samsung may not skip the Classic model this year, despite recent rumors claiming otherwise.
The update also hints at new Wear OS features potentially expanding beyond Google’s Pixel Watch lineup. One clue points to broader support for raise-to-talk functionality, which first debuted on the Pixel Watch 4.
Samsung is expected to unveil its new smartwatches alongside upcoming foldable phones at a possible July 22 event in London.
